This report is a bit of a commemoration of the flight 93 victims. It also touches base with several of the families of the people that died on that flight. Lastly it talks about how the memorial still hasn’t been worked on much let alone completed.
First I would like to say that it really saddens me how little progress has been done at the memorial or even ground zero for that matter. I have personally been to the site of the Oklahoma City memorial, this memorial is a great tribute for those who died. It also was completed two years and six months after Timothy McVeigh took those 168 lives. Sadly now nine years since the events of 2001 there is not a building even beginning to rise out of the hole in New York City and the site of the flight 93 crash still looks like an empty field. It is a travesty that those who died on September 11th still don’t have a proper memorial.
I would also like to say that it makes me proud to be an American when I think of those brave people on flight 93, they found out what was going to happen and they stood up against the terrorists. They lost their own lives to save others on the ground. I couldn’t think of a better way to die then giving up my own life to save others.
As far as the families of the victims of that day my heart will always go out to you and my prayers are for you and the people left behind. Always be proud of your family members that stood up that day and don’t worry about them. I am sure that God reserves a special place for people that fight like they did for what is right.
