Google blocks facebook

This story is about Google blocking Facebook users from being able to upload their contacts from Gmail to Facebook. Google has set up a new blocker that can keep automatic uploads from going to Facebook. They are only blocking sites that don’t allow you to upload their contacts to Gmail.
First off this is funny. Two internet giants fighting over who gets what information and how it does it. Google is a great search engine. It is definitely the one I prefer to use and Facebook is good at what it does. I say it that way because I personally hate Facebook for so many reasons that I couldn’t list them all in one blog.  For one people are using Facebook as if it is their only lifeline to the outside world. If you have a thousand Facebook friends that doesn’t make you popular. Not even remotely. A lot of people see Facebook more than just a fun site to keep in touch with some old friends. Here is a trick, if you find someone online that you haven’t seen in a long time and would like to get back in touch with… here is a big idea…. GO VISIT THEM. Friending them on Facebook so that they can know every time you eat or go to the bathroom is not a friendship. As far as Google blocking Facebook I think that they should block them. As a matter of fact I think that everyone should block all of these sites from sharing your information. These sites are making millions if not billions of dollars off of your personal information. They go through all of your stuff to find out what your interests are and then sell this information to advertisers of other stuff so that they can spam you with mail and advertisements for things that they think that you will buy.

  1. I seriously thought the response was perfectly said. I completely agree, I dislike Facebook for many reasons myself and Google has the right to do whatever they want with their own search engine. If they want to block a website, so be it!
