Here is an article that covers George W. Bush speaking at the University of Mobile in Alabama. He was talking about his new book that is coming out November 9th. He says in his book he will explain some of the decisions that he was faced with during his pregnancy and the facts that were given to him. He invites people to think about what they would have decided to do in his situation.
I am kind of interested in reading his book. I think that the man as a president received one hell of a wrap for the war and other decisions that he made. I’m not saying that all of his decisions were good but I also don’t believe he was as terrible as people make him out to be. A lot of the hatred over Bush was due in part because he didn’t speak eloquently. Also I don’t believe anyone can be in that position and not be criticized to death. We as a country no longer have any respect for the office of president and that is sad. Maybe it’s due in part to our complete distrust in politicians. I know that each year that I see the election campaigns I have to think to myself and wonder, “is this really the best we have?” The Sara Palin’s and Barrack Obamas are a sad example of people to lead this country. These people are seriously lacking in the experience category. We need a better group of politicians in the white house. Maybe someone that is actually there for the good of all the people in America and not just himself. I don’t think that we will see this anytime soon. Everyone has their own agenda and that’s all they are going for. I hope that someday soon this country as a people wake up and start voting for a decent candidate.
