This story is one covering the recent release of the video game Halo Reach. Reach is the fourth title released from the video game company called Bungie. The review tells how Bungie completely restyled the game from the previously released titles. The article praises Bungie for actually working on the game when they just as well have made a basic copy of the previous games gave it a bit of a different story and released it. If they would have done this Bungie would have still made a killing with the release but wouldn’t have had to put much effort into the game.
First I have to say that I am a big gamer. I love video games and I really love the Xbox platform. Someone out there might criticize this post of mine about it just being a video game and not really news worthy. The thing that they have to realize is that the video game industry is huge, It accounts for more total net sales then theaters, DVDs, CDs, and all other electronics combined. The game franchise that this article is written about just very well be the main reason that Microsoft’s Xbox platform even made it off the ground. Halo was the only reason that I bought an Xbox in the first place. Now days I don’t play much Halo, I have found that I enjoy another series better called Call of Duty. Call of duty is another game in the first person shooter game category. The fact is that the “kids” game system has grown up and isn’t something that just the kids play anymore. With an Xbox you can instantly stream movies from Netflix, check your Facebook, or even soon to be watch ESPN and shop retail outlets. If anyone still doesn’t think that a video game can be a viably important subject they should stop by a gamestop at midnight on a release day.
